Oriental Medicine is a wonderful adjunct to Western Medicine, and it is always recommended that a patient seek advice from their regular Western physician prior to receiving alternative or complimentary care.     There are many trains of thought in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine and our interpretation may be quite different than another practitioner.  Although there are basic rules to be followed in Chinese Medicine, different styles gather this information differently.  So one practitioner will work differently than another and both will get results.
